Dansk Mode & Textil has signed an agreement with logistic development organization Greenway Logistics.
After a period of testing and careful preparation, DM&T is convinced that Greenway Logistics can be of great benefit for its members. The concept of the company is that it organizes the logistic benefits, bundling and innovations for groups and individual companies in the Fashion, Sport and Lifestyle branches. Greenway Logistics started this concept in The Netherlands for industry association Modint in 2008, and is currently working for a number of similar organizations in four countries.
Apart from advising and supporting members on all logistic issues, Greenway Logistics has developed a number of innovations which will benefit the members. Areas where Greenway Logistics is already successful are for example bundling at source warehouses (mainly China), e-commerce to Asia, sample shipments and outsourcing of warehouse operations.
Greenway Logistics is also involved in multiple projects in the field of sustainability in transport and logistics. Supported by an international team, managing director Frank Buchmann will be the main contact for DM&T members. Greenway Logistics and DM&T will also set up a communication structure through which relevant information is shared, as well as added values such as a sea freight monitor and a CO² monitor. Both Greenway Logistics and DM&T are excited to roll out this new concept in the dynamic and demanding Danish Fashion industry.
“Logistics is an essential part of the fashion and textile industry and an important competitive parameter. That is why we are constantly aware of ways we can help our associate members in this area. In this context, our new cooperation with Greenway Logistics fits perfectly!” – Thomas Klausen, CEO Dansk Mode & Textil.
